Teeling Whiskey, Restaurant & Bar.

South Studios Whiskey distillery
The brief for this project was to turn the old studios in New South Row into a new whiskey distillery for Teeling whiskey in Dublin, Ireland. Teeling whiskey wanted a young fresh feeling that would bring a new crowd in to the whiskey scene. In addition to having a tour trough the distillery areas, they wanted the main attraction to be a new whiskey bar, and an resturant.

The shop on the ground floor where the brand can sell their whiskey and merchandise to people who drops by or is on tour in the distillery factory areas, its made so that it could be closed off at night, and that people going up to the resturant on the first floor or the whiskey bar on the second floor can get to these locations without going trough the shop.
The shop on the ground floor has lots of space to show off merchandice and a docking station for iPads where you can get information about the brand.
The resturant on the fist floor got a fresh and young look by using a mix of bright, feminin colours, to attract a new crowd to the distillery. The void makes a nice connection to the second floor whiskey bar.
There is different kind of seating arrangements in the restaurant, both big and small parties could be seated comfortably here. There is also a fitted sofa placed on the feauture wall on the right side.
The staircase leads you from the ground floor up to the first floor restaurant, and then to the bar on the second floor.
There is a open kitchen which gives a viberant and nice touch to the resturant.
From the void on the second floor you can look down at the resturant on the first floor.
The second floor bar is backlit with led light which is fitted behind a frosted glass plate. The battons on the front is black washed hard wood oak. In the back of the room there is made space for bigger groups visiting on long tables.
There is different kind of seating arrangements in the bar area, you can sit next to the bar on high stools, or more protected in the designed sofas which have a "wall" around them.
The backyard of the distillery is used as barrel storage and pary of the tour, on the second floor there is built a terrace for the visitors of the bare and resturant to sit. The balcony also works as shelter for the barrel storage.
